Are you Ready?.. “Bitch Is the New Black”

Feathers will get ruffled and many pearl necklaces will be clutched when Helena Andrews, memoir, “Bitch Is the New Black” makes it to the bookstores and hits the big screen. Simply put, young, single, successful, black women lonely in the city. The setting is in Washington D.C., but can be played out anywhere in the United States. The book will explore the external ”got it all together” fabulous career, clothes, shoes, designer bags and the internal questioning of “now what” via essay. Some of the internal dialogue surrounds, “what next” in life, career and family after you have reached a certain level of success. How do you fill the void?
In my opinion, some of the questions are no different than what previous generations faced. The difference is the ability and freedom that our generation has to make a change to what feels right for our lives.
