Terra Cycle Bear Naked

Here are some great ways to recycle items that we throw in the trash. If you have a product you love, recycle the wrapping and get a cute bag, it is Fab Chick heaven!! If that wasn’t enough, some places will even pay you for your “trash”.

Terra Cycle:  Started in 2001 as an organic fertilizer company, now has a far reaching impact.  The company now has partnerships with non-profts and schools who collect used packaging such as cookie wrappers, drink pouches and yogurt cups.  The dual benefit is the packaging does not reach the landfill and the organizations receive payment for the collection.   

Ecoist: Similar to Terra Cycle, up-cycling is the way to cute fashionable baguettes, coin purses and totes.   

Alchemy Goods: Looking for something a little more durable, check out AG.  The goods are made from inner tubes and junk yard cars.  My favorite is the Ad Bag, is made from advertising banner.
